Don't know if it's an option for you, but I've been really happy writing
Java Server Pages primarily in Jython. I'm using the Orion App server and
tag libs that invoke a Jython interpreter. Most of the work is being done
in the Jython objects in the interpreter in the app server.
I published my interpreter object a couple weeks ago. I can send it to you
if you want it.
