Re: [pyxpcom] Pyxpcomext: Python UCS4? | Re: [pyxpcom] PyXPCOM extension
Hello Python and Mozilla enthusiasts,

I've updated the builds for the PyXPCOM extension project to now work
with Mozilla 1.9 applications, so that includes Firefox 3 and XulRunner.
http://pyxpcomext.mozdev.org/downloads.html

With this Mozilla1.9 builds of PyXPCOM, it is now easy to create a
XulRunner package that has PyXPCOM enabled. Simply download a build of
XulRunner (it should not matter which version, as long as it is based on
the the Mozilla 1.9 tree) and then unzip the "pyxpcomext.xpi" on top of
the XulRunner directory (it will not overwrite anything, just adds the
necessary python xpcom files, though you can toss away the install.rdf).
You now have a XulRunner with Python enabled! You can then add your
Python components to the XulRunner components directory and add
additional python directory locations through ".pth" files located in
the pyxpcom directory.

Cheers,
Todd
