You're behaving as if a vote has already decided what the outcome of TIP
157 is. We only had an informal poll in which TCT members seemed to favor
the awful {expand} syntax (awful IMHO of course). If there had already
been a vote and the issue was closed, I agree that George's questions
would be inappropriate. However, we're in the discussion period, and a
poll is not a vote.
There's still time for the proponents of the {expand} syntax to come to
their senses and see that this would be a mistake.
Also I want to raise the issue that the TCT is capable of making mistakes,
so it should be legitimate to discuss issues even after they're voted on,
if new evidence justifies such a discussion.
