Re: [Activetcl] teacup remove/install sequence doesn't seem to work
You can't install just 8.5 and also have all the extensions right out of
the box. Things are not set up to work that way. Instead, if you want
Tcl 8.5 and don't care to have the older 8.4, you install 8.5, then use
teacup to populate the repository.
Use
teacup timeout 120
teacup update-self
teacup update
And you should be all set (with some tweaking needed if you use proxies,
etc.).

I also had similar issues. I uninstalled 8.5 and reinstalled 8.4.
Are the standard libraries included in the distro? Tcl could not find
them. (The 8.5 distro is approx. 6MB smaller than the 8.4 distro.)
Is teapot/teacup the only way to access extensions and libraries?
Considering that ActiveTcl always worked with extensions right out of
the box (until 8.5), how can I install 8.5 so that it works with
extensions right out of the box?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Frank.
