Re: [Activetcl] Sourced from where | [Activetcl] activestate teapot question
Hi all,

I am trying to automate the following process.

1) Ping and find out if a system is up.

2) If it is up telnet to it in a separate console window.

3) Give the control back to the user

Steps 1 to 3 have to be executed for 2 systems.

I am able to do this in the same window for one system, but unable to do
it in a separate console window.

My base machine runs SUN OS and the machine I need to telnet runs Linux.

In my SUN machine, I did a "spawn dtterm" which opened a new console
window, but I am not able to send and expect commands to this window.

Is this possible using Expect? If not, could anyone please tell me the
correct approach?

Thanks in advance!

Kapil
