Sorry, Tkinter doesn't support skins, or alpha-blending, or animated 3d
dancing animals either.

Choice of gui widgets is akin to religious debate, so I won't engage
here. All I'll say is that for me, Tkinter (with PMW) gives me the
fastest way to implement a basic clean-looking multiplatform GUI, on a
par with Thunderbird or Firefox, with a programming API that lets me
implement the desired appearance and functionality with less effort,
less lines of code and less platform-specific dramas than the other GUI
libs I've looked at.
