[Expect] exp_spawn failed on Windows 2003 with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) | Re: [Expect] exp_spawn failed on Windows 2003 with DEP (Data Execution Prevention)
Hey, we're on wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_Execution_Prevention

I'm feeling defensive..

If one examines the source code found at
ftp://tcl.activestate.com/pub/incoming/expect-src.zip

and examines
expect-src/win/expWinConsoleDebugger.cpp:ConsoleDebugger::OnXSecondBreakpoint(),
they'll see the injected executable code placed into the spawned app's
memory space *IS* set for execute permission.\ :P

Please send all DEP problem reports to blackhole@[...].com
