Also, a recent follow-up comment[2] from none-other than Dave

Of course more votes from the community at large will help ensure greater  
visibility in regards to prioritization, and as such the greater the  
likelihood it will be to find support in the next release of Safari 3, so  
if you feel inclined to do so, please vote and/or add comments to this  
entry as you feel appropriate.
