Komodo 4.0 Alpha 4 ready for testing | Komodo 3.5.2 for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X is now available
Hello All,

We are happy to announce the kick off of public pre-release builds on
the road to Komodo 4.0. We plan to have a number of alpha and beta
releases before final and would really appreciate your feedback. You can
start here:

	http://www.activestate.com/store/beta/register.plex?id=komodo

Be sure to sign up for the Komodo-Beta mailing list so you can take part
in the discussion. The link above offer a checkbox to subscribe, or you
can do so separately here:

	http://listserv.activestate.com/mailman/listinfo/komodo-beta

Note that this build is of alpha quality and hence not recommended for
full daily use. We know that there are some rough edges in there but
wanted to get it out sooner to get feedback.

New in Komodo 4.0 Alpha 1

- JavaScript debugging in Firefox. Install the JavaScript debugging
Firefox extension and debug JavaScript code in Komodo.

- User-Defined Languages (UDL). Improved support for multi-language
files such as Ruby on Rails RHTML. New UDL functionality lets you create
Komodo extensions for custom language support.

- Live Folders. Komodo projects now offer Live Folders that mirror file
system layout.

License Requirements

- Komodo 4.0 Alpha 1 has a built-in license that will expire in one
month. We'll have a new build for you to play with before then.

- This build can be installed alongside previous versions of Komodo.

Check out and subscribe to Jeff's blog. He is usually pretty good at
blogging about Komodo developments:

Cheers,
Trent
