The Komodo Dev Team is currently at OSCON, checking out the talks and
hosting a booth in the expo area. To coincide with the conference,
we've added new case study up on our website.
David Brewer and his team from Second Story Interactive Studios here
in Portland create amazing interactive sites using Komodo IDE. Second
Story was recently tasked with creating Aragoâ?¢, an online database
for the National Postal Museum that would amass their collection of
over 300,000 objects and present them in a user-friendly interface.
With elaborate data import scripts to translate data from a third-
party collection management tool, all the logic involved in managing
researcher contributions, and the website itself, it was a large and
complicated project.
â??I found out about Komodo at OSCON 2005 and was very impressed by
what I saw; it was the perfect tool for the job,â? said David Brewer,
a web application developer with Second Story who specializes in
building back-ends and HTML interfaces for collection database websites.
