I'm well aware of that.  You'll noticed I said "10 and 9.2".  I do run 
10.0 here as well, and I do use Komodo on it.  It works fine.

I can't speak on KDevelop... I don't use it, or KDE.  I can't tell you 
what you should or should not use.

I am not seeing that behaviour here, but I'm not a Komodo developer, 
just a beta tester like you.  We obviously have differing experiences.

You don't need to make this argument to me, I was merely making an 
observation.  I have absolutely no say in what ActiveState does with 
their product; I'm as much affiliated with them as you are.  I was just 
making the comment that I have my doubts that you'll be able to 
download the source code for it.  How you feel about that, or what 
other companies do, is irrelevant to what ActiveState has, and most 
likely will, continue to do.

But I don't think that telling them to allow you to compile it on your 
own with whatever optimizations you feel like putting in there, is the 
answer.  That is, however, merely my opinion, and what I suspect from 
having used Komodo for quite a while now.
