Found it. Had to configure the way in which komodo connects to the
internet. It hadn't picked up on either my IE or FF settings.

I've hit the "check for updates" in 4.3.0 and it tells me :

"AUS: Update Server Not Found (Check your internet connection or contact
your Administrator)"

.. and instead offers me a link to visit.

Both of my browsers (IE and FF) were able to find the URL, so why
couldn't komodo find the "AUS" server ? 

Strange thing is that at the time i hit 'check for updates', Ethereal
doesn't see in any TCP traffic, so how is komodo deciding that it can't
find the AUS server ?
