<font size="+1"> <font face="Bitstream Vera Sans">When I run Check for
Updates on the IDE, it fails with the following Error:<br>
<br>
</font> </font><font size="+1"><font face="Bitstream Vera Sans">AUS:
Update Server Not Found (Check your internet connection or contact your
Administrator)<br>
<br>
</font> </font><font size="+1"><font face="Bitstream Vera Sans">My
Internet connection
is working fine. Error message also points to a URL where you can
supposedly download the update. The URL is about as useful as pointing
me to <a href="http://disney.com"> disney.com</a>
- there are no downloadable files on the page pointed to by the URL.
As I try and navigate in the hopes of finding a file I can download, I
just get more annoyed because now I am being asked to 'Logon'. <br>
<br>
So now I have scrounge around for the
username/password amongst the 3 Billion other internet
username/passwords I am forced to keep. And of course, I can never
find it, and I am buggered if I am going to waste time trying to figure
out which email address I might get a password sent to. This has to be
the most infuriating trend on the internet - registering and having to
remember passwords. <br>
<br>
So here is a big PLEASE - make sure the IDE's 'check for updates'
error message 'actually' points to somewhere where the downloadable
update file exists and does not require a login with password or
registration. <br>
<br>
I can't figure out my password, and I don't want to register yet again
- so where can I find the downloadable 4.4 file?<br>
