Yes, it is a known issue that was &quot;fixed&quot; in Komodo 4.3 -- I

may be wrong at that the fix was in the 4.4 alphas/betas.<br>

Here the &quot;fix&quot; is to get it right from that point on rather than

getting, say, the Komodo 4.4 installer/updater to go back and clean up

old desktop shortcuts. We *could* (and should) fix Komodo's auto-update

to clean up old shortcuts, quick launch links, Start Menu program group

names and &quot;Add/Remove Programs&quot; meta data -- but haven't done

Regarding the install directory: the default install dir for 4.2 <br> 
includes the &quot;.2&quot;. Komodo's auto-update for 4.3 and 4.4 cannot

Add/Remove Programs and uninstall all versions of Komodo. Then install
