Hi Brian,

This is a known error introduced on Vista with version 5.3.1,
documented at http://bugs.activestate.com/show_bug.cgi?id=83016

You can pick up a nightly containing the fix at
http://downloads.activestate.com/Komodo/nightly/komodoide/latest-trunk/
