[Komodo-discuss] Display/redraw problem with Compiz/Gnome

Re: [Komodo-discuss] Komodo 5.2.0 alpha 1 released | Re: [Komodo-discuss] Display/redraw problem with Compiz/Gnome
Dear list,

I love Komodo Edit and have been using it for a few Pylons projects in
the past two years because I love it for its Python code completion and
the ability to handle multiple files. However since I changed from KDE
to Gnome with Compiz I encounter strange display problems. Komodo Edit
starts and the start page is displayed. I load a project but apparently
nothing happens although the title bar reflects the name of the file I
was most recently working on. If I resize the window (double-clicking on
the title bar to get out of fullscreen mode and double-clicking again to
get back into fullscreen mode) I suddenly see the correct view with my
files and the file tree on the left being displayed.

I'm pretty sure this is an issue of Compiz but I couldn't find any
workaround. Has anyone else encountered this effect and perhaps even
knows has a workaround.

Thanks in advance.

 Christoph
