Dr. Dobb's 18th Jolt Awards has selected ActiveState's Komodo IDE as a
Best Development Environment finalist. Komodo won the award in 2006 and
was nominated again this year after the release of Komodo IDE 4.0 in
January, a significant update that introduced new tools for web
development, multi-language support and Firefox-style extensibility.

For the past 17 years, the Jolt Awards have been presented annually to
showcase products that have "jolted" the industry with their
significance and made the task of creating software faster, easier, and
more efficient.

Jolt Award judges not only examine the standard criteria of audience
suitability, productivity, innovation, quality, ROI, risk and
flexibility, but also seek to honor products that are ahead of the
