[PDK-Beta] Dump Variable string length | [PDK-Beta] first question
I am using perl, v5.8.4 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread

Removed PDK 5.3.

Installed PDK 6.01 Beta.

Tried the debugger using the normal -d switch and recieved the following:

Failed to start the ActiveState Perl Debugger.
Please ensure that the ActiveState Perl Debugger is properly installed and try again.

DCOM errors are also being reported in the NT event log:

Unable to start a DCOM Server: {6CD9A328-775D-11CF-B2C2-0080C8107984} as /.
The error:
"The system cannot find the file specified. "
Happened while starting this command:
C:\Perl\bin\PerlDB.exe -Embedding

As it suggests, C:\Perl\bin\PerlDB.exe does not exist.

I have copied it in there from the PDK bin folder and it works ok.

The install has a bug I suspect.

Thanks,

Julian
