What exactly do you mean by "building with the old version"?

I would assume that it is somehow related to the setting of the
PERL5LIB environment variable.  I have no idea though why any
program that you are running would be thinking it would find the
MLDBM module in there.  So please provide some more details about
what you are doing when the error occurs.
