[PEAR-DEV] Re: [PEAR] PEAR LOG | [PEAR-DEV] [PATCH] WHERE clause in DB_DataObjects::update()
Hi all,

Lot of changes on PEAR_PackageFileManager (P_PFM) these latest days :
- lack of understanding
- Greg put himself as inactive leader
and more.

I've decided , after thinking a lot , to let down my works on
P_PFM product family .
Don't misundertand my attitude (explains later)
That's means :
1. I 'll become inactive on P_PFM package itself , just after
final stable release 1.6.0
2. I ask officially if someone want to take over my work of P_PFM frontend
the two packages [1] and [2] are marked now as unmaintened
3. I'll commit my User Guide in DocBook format into PEAR doc repository
. I hope that someone could finish the work
especially fixing incompatiblity

Consider that my actions on P_PFM (and later with frontend) was
essentially to give a new impulse arround a package xml 2.0 generator
that was so few considered. I only wanted to have ASAP a stable
version to give to Greg work his nobility letters.
And write a User Guide with Tutorial to give another chance to discover
all features that are almost unknown for all except for Greg.

Now my actions are almost finished :
1. The stable release 1.6.0 is on way : planned for November 21st (or
later I've no objection ; it's just because it"s an anniversary date )
2. The User Guide is almost ready

I think my job (help) is finish and I hope Greg will become active again
later for the future of PEAR and package .xml (2.1, 3.0 ...)

Best regards
Laurent
