Erm ... if you are going to run the script under windows why do you 
post to perl-unix-users? You'd have bigger chance to get helpfull 
responses in perl-win32-users :-)

You will want to use Win32::OLE to control MS Word.
I don't have an example I could give you by hand, but it should be 
rather easy to find one on the net.
