TK - stop dos window minimising? | Re: TK - stop dos window minimising?
For documentation try 'Mastering PERL/Tk' O'Reilly press. It isn't that
expensive (under $35.00) and very easy to follow and learn...

Subject: TK - stop dos window minimising?

Hi Guys (and Guyettes),

I have my GUI sorted, using TK. I needed another window for print outputs,
and couldn't work out how to do it, however it occurred to me to use the dos
window that starts when the program is run.

Unfortunately, it gets minimised almost straight away.

Does anyone know how I stop this happening?

The ability to minimise and restore a window at will would be very helpful,
too.

Also, does anyone really understand how things get packed into the windows
and frames? I eventually got things where I wanted by trial and error.
Documentation on TK is quite hard to find, isn't it?

Thanks.

R.
