Recompile at execute
Normally it's recompiled every time. The only exception is when ur running
mod_perl under a web server. Mod_perl keeps the image in memory and reuses
it. Not only that it saves the complete state information! U can save and
reuse variables between script calls. If u had a script under mod_perl that
was just "$i++ and print $i;", every time u clicked refresh the number would
go up. I've used this "feature" to save significant data (pulling a tftp
file) between invocations. That makes u be very careful about declaring all
ur variables properly with my. The first time I used mod_perl I was beating
my head against the wall trying to figure out why the script was seeing old
data :)
