"There is a document management software that OCR's incoming documents."

if a commercial document management software does the OCR'ing, as you've
stated above, somewhere in this workflow you will see that an output of the
scanning stage will be a *.tif file.  it is that *.tif file that is used as
an input to the ocr process.  if you dig a little deeper, you will discover
that you already have a *.tiff file of each page that is scanned.  you just
need to contact the vendor of the above software, and they can tell you
where to find the files.
