It may be harder for a serializer to understand your intention. While 
setting values to undef explicitly could mean the caller does not want 
any particular prefix for a namespace and passes the task to assign a 
prefix to the next layer, the omission of keys only means the stream is 
incomplete.

Anyway, as we would also need a corresponding rule for *_prefix_mapping 
methods, I would not introduce new rules unless there is a strong demand 
and a wide consensus. Completing fragmentary streams with a filter 
should work well for now.
