I'll gladly second a motion to declare "make character position on
line available in caller()[2]" a TODO item. Would probably need a
hint flag. Or it could be encoded like "${linenumber}P${position}" so
math on the value would not be affected at all, and position could be
extracted with a split. The "argument ... isn't numeric" warning
would have to be silenced, perhaps by only providing the additional
information when caller()[2] is accessed as a string?
