not really because it didn't work.
The other calls are only there to tell it where to look for the
required files, but if this is set in php.ini it doesn't matter if
you remove them.

Yes, thanks, I already know that.
Just removing the if statement did solve the problem of including the
remote file. Only by taking out the call to
_PHPLIB["libdir"] in the require calls did it remove the problem.
