It is sort of the books fault... since most of them were written before 
PHP-GTK was even ALPHA yet alone BETA or... FINAL. We should not be 
afraid to make stuff (read, crap (or stronger description)) correct just 
because everyone is used to it wrong.

But that is just my opinion.
