with just either one, configure is ok

I spotted in the configure output ..

Configuring extensions
checking if the location of ZLIB install directory is defined... no
checking whether to include ZLIB support... yes

configure help says you can place the directory on --with-zlib

 ./configure --help | grep zlib
  --with-zlib-dir=<DIR>    Define the location of zlib install
directory
  --with-zlib[=DIR]       Include zlib support (requires zlib > =
1.0.9).
                          DIR is the zlib install directory.
