Re: Can't get ppm to install anything | Re: Can't get ppm to install anything
Hi,

I'm trying to let ppm install some modules (doing it the first tim with
ppm) but
I always get one of the following error messages:

For Example
1.
D:\Perl\site\lib> ppm install
http://ppm.activestate.com/PPMPackages/5.005/String-Approx.ppd
Error: no suitable installation target found for package String-Approx.

 2.
C:\> ppm install http://ppm.activestate.com/PPMPackages/5.005/Storable.ppd
No Perl script found in input

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

By the way, is it right that I don't need a C-Compiler when installing
modules containg C-Code with ppm from ActiveState sites?

Armin
