[OT] Bugzilla won't accept my bug report | Re: ANNOUNCE: Beta of PPM version 4 released
A few of issues I have discovered with the PPM beta:

1. In a network using a proxy server, if you don't set the proxy server
environment variables, you get no error messages, it just doesn't contact the
repository.

2. Performance is unacceptable in a slow WAN (3Mbps link) environment. I
am not sure how long the ActiveState repository takes because I left it
running overnight the first time, but it is well over ten minutes to get the list
of packaages from ActiveState. If it is pulling from the web page, it is slow in
a fast Internet environment - my direct access to the web page takes a very
long time and often fails in Firefox.

3. There is no way to turn repositories on and off like there is in the
command line version, which can be inconvenient when combined with #2
above.
