Yep - it contains absolute paths.

Ah ... then I *am* mistaken. (That should make things a whole lot simpler.)
So it's just a matter of storing scantree.pl on the server and having the 
ppd file reference it in <INSTALL ... </INSTALL>  tags, as per usual.
