OK, lets talk about Glade. Firstly it is tightly bound
to GTK+ - not necessarily a bad thing but this does
not exactly produce the cross platform native look and
feel that many of us would like. Secondly, it is not a
builder but a code generator. Essentially it just
generates source code for you. I think we need to go
further than that, perhaps Glade would be a good
starting point, but it currently does not provide the
functionality that I (and Kevin) have been talking
about on this list.
Finally, and the real killer for me here, is that it
really currently only runs under Gnome on Linux.
*Most* developers don't have easy access to a Linux
box.
<Off topic> Before anyone starts flaming me, I'm
trying to get Debian to run on a machine at home but
its a bit difficult to do anything useful when you
can't get the modem to work ... grr </Off topic>
