Hi all!
As Brendan mentioned, I'm able to spend a little more time working on some of this stuff.
My hope is to get all outstanding pyxpcom patches checked in over the next few weeks. It's
great that Alec is here now too - having someone else actively confirm the patch works incr
eases confidence to check it in :)
The Python-for-XUL task will initially be looking at making the Mozilla C++ code 'script lan
guage neutral' before we can move onto the implementation details for Python. Once we do st
art looking at Python itself, I'm hoping some of you will be able to help us out with testin
g and design feedback as we move forward. The Mozilla Wiki has some notes (via http://wiki.
mozilla.org/DOM:Home_Page), but as above, there is nothing Python specific at all yet. I ex
pect that docs for the Python implementation will also end up at the same place, but I'll po
st a pointer to them once they actually exist!
I'm very excited to be working on this - it should be great for both Mozilla *and* Python!
Mark
