Well, there's a paper in one of the Tcl conferences by the original
author at Sun, but I don't think anyone ever really formalized it
properly. But 99% of the codes are probably straight forward. There are
some minimal comments in the table of human-readable bytecode names in
tclCompile.c; maybe that will help.
