I did inspire someone to have a go at it, but it never got finished.   
Of course if ActiveState would like to take over the code so far......

Yes I have looked at them.  Great products, but not, as far as I can  
see, what we or the R-project need.  They seem to be aimed at  
producing nice MacOS X GUIs for applications written in Tcl or Perl.   
What we have is a library, written in Objective-C (not Cocoa yet),  
including a Tcl/Tk/BLT gui.  In the case of R there is C/C++ code  
with Tcl/Tk guis like Rcmdr.
