TrollTech isn't a very compelling option for Mac-only development, 
especially if you are developing commercial software and don't want to 
release your source code. A Qt license is *very expensive.* Plus, I'm 
sure that porting from Carbon to Qt is no less work than porting from 
Carbon to Cocoa--it's a whole new API either way.

Considering this is a list focusing on Tcl/Tk development on the Mac, 
I'm not sure too many are sympathetic to this opinion...not to mention, 
it's kind of beside the point. You can easily build the latest version 
of Tcl/Tk on Panther.
