    José - that was a lot of excellent analysis.  Can you just
    copy that verbatim into a SF bug report for tclplugin?  That
    way it will be properly recorded and tracked for the fix.

    I suspect the whole remote procedure stuff needs to be tossed
    out and rewritten.

I can help! I really need this bug solved (it is blocking the
development of a product on my company), so i am already working on
it.
