The handling of .icns is actually a general pain, as it appears to still be a
totally undocumented format.  Until then, we can't really extract bits or
create them, but if you have one on hand, it would be nice to automate its
using in the OS X sense.  Andreas mentioned the longer alternative, but feel
free to add this as an RFE at:
