I am pleased to announce that an updated Tcl Dev Kit 4.0 Beta is now
available. New platforms and improved tools make it even easier to
create, debug and deploy applications to a broad range of users.

* Mac OS X and Solaris x86 Support
The TDK toolset is now available on Mac OS X and Solaris x86. TclApp
also has the ability to generate Mac OS X app bundles of your Tcl/Tk
programs.
* TEApot integration
TclApp has been updated to fully integrate with the ActiveState Tcl
Extension Archive (TEApot).
* Enhanced Static Analysis
The Checker has added pragma support to allow for inline code control of
the Checker behavior.
* Tcl 8.5 Code Compiler
It is now possible to precompile Tcl 8.5 code using the new 8.5-based
Compiler.
* GUI Facelifts
All of the TDK tools have received a themed user interface facelift.
Licensing
----------
Tcl Dev Kit 4.0 Beta 3 has a built-in license that will expire in six
weeks. We'll have a new build for you to play with before then.
This beta release can be installed side-by-side with a TDK 3 release
version as long as it is installed in a separate directory.
