To be specific, it is a group effort headed by Donal Fellows, and
is based on xotcl, but does not exactly mirror it (it has snit
influences as well).  This is (hopefully) destined for 8.5.

Our current plan is to fully support the oo:: module in Tcl 8.5,
and provide the best level of support for that.  While we realize
that other oo modules like xotcl and snit have gained a large
user base, it would be hard to properly support them all (another
disadvantage of too many oo extensions).  This work may in itself
lend to some support of xotcl, but no promises there.
