Re: [TDK] Unable to create a working wrapped service | [TDK] win32 resource strings: wrong version?
Hi All

As anyone has any success with this. The script I am trying to run ends
with a vwait wait_forever so should drop straight into the event loop.
The application runs perfectly not as a service.

When built with TclApp GUI (with service prefix file, only one tcl
script and only tbcload 1.6.1 package included).

When wrapped no messages are generated in "State" and installs as a
service OK (app.exe xxx -install).
When I try to start it I get

Could not start the xxx service on the local computer. Error 1053: the
service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely
manner.

This comes up immediately start is pressed in services.

The event log says

Event Type: Error
Event Source: xxx
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 07/05/2008
Time: 13:07:32
User: N/A
Computer: RD-DPMATTINSON-
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( xxx) cannot be found. The
local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be
able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help
and Support for details. The following information is part of the event:
xxx error: [0x0] The operation completed successfully. (0x0), unable to
get value "TclScript" from key
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\xxx": The system
cannot find the file specified.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
