When you run the installer in GUI mode it is in the text window of the
installer.
You should be able to copy and paste this.

If you force the installer to run in text mode ((temporarily) unset the
DISPLAY variable)
you can redirect the log into a file. In that case it is also recommended to
use the --directory  option to set the installdir, as you then do not have
to answer installation question. With the redirection you cannot see them
anyway.

Ok, that explains why nothing urrent was found.
