[Vancouver-announce] Talking About Ruby: September 22, 2005 | [Vancouver-announce] Join ActiveState at PHP West -- January 14th 2005
The next PHP User Group Meeting will be held Thursday September 8, 2005
(today). The featured speaker is Zak Greant, discussing SQLite.

Location: ActiveState, 580 Granville Street Vancouver
Date: Thursday, September 8th
Time: 6 PM

Description: PHP developers building applications for distribution usually
spend part of their time worrying about the availability and configuration
of a DBMS on the systems their app will live on. In many cases, SQLite makes
all of these worries go away. SQLite is a fast, transactional and
zero-configuration DBMS that is embedded (by default) in PHP 5. This session
covers SQLite basics, appropriate uses for the DBMS, and DBMS tips.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend this event.
