Announcing ASPN Perl from ActiveState
Hello,
We are pleased to announce that Visual Perl 1.0 Beta 4
for Visual Studio.NET Beta 2 is now available.
This version is a beta release, which means there are still known
issues in it, but it has solid functionality as a Perl editing
and debugging environment for Windows.
Beta 2 of Visual Studio.NET is definitely an improvement
over the first beta, and we were happy to close a number of bugs
with the new release.
New editing functionality includes improved Perl colorizing, as well
as configurable code folding.
The debugger shows more information and supports remote debugging,
and this version offers a workable preview of multi-language
debugging. If you've installed ActiveState's PerlNET
technology, you can easily build .NET components from Perl modules,
and call them from other .NET languages. This beta will help you
debug the whole process.
