[Visualperl-discuss] Re: ActiveState releases Visual Perl 1.5.1 | [Visualperl-discuss] visual perl and C# and babelfish installation error
Hi ActiveState.

Installed VisualPerl-1.5.0.2250.msi
After installation started visualstudio - VisualPerl was not on the splash page (with vb c#
and c++).
Tried to open the Fortune sample and got a error message PackageLoadFailure against 'Visual
perl Project Package'.

When I go into create a new project VisualPerl is there. But if I attempt to create an Execu
table i get"object with program ID PerlWizard.PerlWizardEngine cannot be created".

So far i have rerun the install and done a repair last install. (both it and the initial ins
tall finished cleanly - although the 'installing help' section took a looong time).

So What Do I Do next?

I read some of the discussion threads but stopped when i saw similar issues coupled to quest
ions like
"Did you try running 'regasm' and 'gacutil' from the Visual Perl install directory?"
