Hello,
We are pleased to announce that Visual Python 1.0 Beta 2
for Visual Studio.NET Beta 2 is now available.
This version is a beta release, which means there are still known
issues in it, but it has solid functionality as a Python editing
and debugging environment for Windows.
Beta 2 of Visual Studio.NET is definitely an improvement
over the first beta, and we were happy to close a number of bugs
with the new release. The Python debugger is more solid, and
displays more information during debugging.

Some important notes:
1) The only supported versions of Visual Studio.NET Beta 2 are the
following (according to
http://www.msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/nextgen/sysreq.asp):
Microsoft Windows 2000, Server or Professional
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Beta 2
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server
2) If you installed Visual Python Beta 1, you will need to uninstall
Beta 1 of Visual Python, Beta 1 of Visual Studio.NET, and the
earlier version of the .NET framework.
3) You don't need to uninstall or reinstall ActivePython.
4) You will need to install VS.NET Beta 2 before attempting to install
Visual Python Beta 2.
