I committed a few minor fixes to get it so it would run on wxMac.

* Crash from a missing import
* Crash from an undefined variable
* Some menu alignment issues

There are a few more bugs that I have found that I will get back to  
you on after having a chance to do more testing but when trying to  
dock a pane into another pane to create a notebook there is a  
wxWidgets Debug dialog that comes up and some error messages to the  
console:

After dismissing the error the panel docks into the notebook and seems  
to be fine.

Otherwise overall it looks good and works pretty well on wxMac.
