Are we really certain that there will never be a mechanism similar to OMITTAG in XML?
A year ago I would have bet that nobody would ever put any further work into DTDs,
yet here we are. Does anyone really have that much trouble with ambiguity? I can't
remember the last time someone brought a problem with an ambiguous model to the
attention of the list. It seems that if we left the door open, we may get something
for nothing in the future.
