i tried it out
had to change to <img alt='foto di {mittente/nome}:{mittente/cognome}, 
alias {mittente/nick}, &lt;{mittente/mail}> ' src='{mittente/@silouette}' />
however the src attribute seems to work (as before with my code), the alt 
attribute still doesn't seem to... :( maybe we cannot mix elements inside 
attributes...
don't really know... IE allows me to...
